The echos of voices from inside the tavern washed out over her ears. The night was a dark one and she welcomed the echos with open ears. She walked down the cobbled street toward the building, thinking perhaps a nice drink or two might do her some good to ease her bad temper. There was no particular reason for her foul mood, she’d just simply woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and after several long hours of reading and practicing she had decided that she was finished. Well, actually, it was after she’d set the book she’d been reading on fire when she tried to conjure a flame in her hand, that she had decided ti was time to stop.
She was wearing a semi long white dress tonight, low cut int eh front with wispy arms and made of a mixture of cotton and silk. The effect was fun. Her long red locks were hanging loosely about her face, and waved back and forth as she walked confidently up to the door of the tavern.
She opened the door and walked through, her emerald eyes looking about the patrons of the place. It was as it always was, shady character sitting in the shadows, hoping to be unnoticed, but how could someone not notice them when they tried to hide in plain site? The usual night life really, nothing out of the ordinary.
She strode up to the counter and ordered her first drink from the bar and then after paying, she took up her container and made her way to the nearest table she found open. It was still early and so she had her choice. She of course felt the eyes on her backside as usual, and even grinned over her shoulder at the ones who were doing the looking, but her grinning didn’t last long and turned into a glare quickly enough, extinguishing the brightened looks on those who though they might have had a chance with her. She took her seat, settled the container on the table in front of her with a slight clank of metal against wood and then sighed.
It didn’t take long for the first bold drunken mess of a man to unfortunately try and make a pass at her. So bold was he to come straight up and lay a hand on her shoulder.
“You didn’t just touch me uninvited.” She growled. Oh how she hated it when people thought they could touch you without so much as a hi my name is...
“Oh come on baby, someone like you must not want to be alone on a chilly night like this” The man’s voice then rang in her ears, the hand still on her shoulder now gave it a small squeeze.
Salrindria rolled her eyes and gritted her teeth. She didn’t want to bring too much attention to herself by throwing this male across the room at will, why was he continuing, wasn’t obvious that she didn’t want his attention.. Oh ya, drunk... She sighed to herself.
“Look, “ She started in a low growl of sorts, now taking her container up off the table and taking a long swallow then returning it before she finished. “You pig-faced, smelly lump of dragon dung.” She went on in that same low growl. “Remove yourself from my side before I am forced to do something neither of us want done.” She finished, not bothering to look at the waste of time.
That’s when he reach down with his other hand, yanking her from her seat and turning her around and was just about to say something, though she’d not find out what it was as she taken her hand, pressed them against his chest and both physically and mentally pushed him back so hard, he slammed into the far wall and now lay there in a lump on the floor, nicely knocked out. She then turned around looking at all that watched her and smiled.
“Sorry for that. I’m sure he needed to sleep it off at any rate.” She shrugged and then returned to her seat and plucked the container from the table and finished it off.
“Uhm, can I have another please.” She raised her empty up to the bar.
