1422, England. A new King is crowned along with his young bride, Evelyn, princess of Spain, married to seal a peace treaty with the kingdom. Everyone rejoiced at the news. From this fifteen years union, two sons are born. But what few people know is that the Queen is falling into melancholy. In this state of mind, the idea of her love having mistresses becomes unbearable. Although he had many in the past, now it becomes too much. The first she found, she sent home on false accusations of theft.The second was found disfigured. The King is scared her wife's behavior starts to become known throughout the kingdom. A few months after the announce of the King's desires, he agreed for the Queen to meet their sons, which would certainly be his greatest mistakes. Andrew, the eldest, had just recently healed from an illness himself and was still weak. Evelyn, who thought was only a little weak after the news, was ill of the sweating sickness. Andrew caught it. Everything was done to save the lives of the two royal members but to no avail. A few days later, a ceremony happened for the two departed.
Seven months later, the King says publicly he would marry his mistress and make her queen. If most people are happy, followers of Queen Evelyn cries it is too soon. And slowly, false rumors of her being poisoned starts to spread. The Pope declares this new union valid which makes Spain angry. Tensions grow between the two kingdom and France does nothing to help. For with those two at each other's throat, France could become the greatest power of all Europe. Balance might very well go to Spain with an unexpected ally: the duke of Lancaster. His family could have been ruling over England, they should have. And he is more than ready to see it happen, even if it means killing the new queen and the young prince to put his daughter on the throne.
