What a waste of her time. She was out and about looking for a dragon, that was damn near impossible to find. She had heard that they were trapped in their human forms, but she was looking for one that missed that curse. She clung to a little map in her hand as she pulled her hood up around her neck, and flicked her hair out from under it. She sighed and sat down against a tree, wondering just what to do next.
Well... Pickings at the market place always turned out profitable... or gambling in the cellar of the tavern. She thought for a moment and then just decided to walk around the lake. She had to get used to the new kingdom, as it was very different from the last time she was here... during the war. She stood and kicked off the tree and headed towards the lake.
Pulling her cloak around her red, button-up vest over a low-cut long sleeve tunic, she reached down and brushed some dirt off her slacks and adjusted the knife in the garter on her thigh. She smiled and settled down along side the lake, settled on a log by a tree, surrounded by high bushes and with the light waves crashing on the edge. It was the perfect place to set by herself and rest. She still had to figure out living arrangements within this new kingdom. She didn't know of anyplace, but she figured she would find one sooner than later.
What a lovely time to be settled alone.

As quiet as the lake was Luna wasn't alone.in the shadow of the tree Luna so diligently sat by was another elf, well technically a Drow, and technically half human but let's not get into necessary details. The half-drow's name was Zelda, no relation at that innocent princess of Hyrule.
Zelda had been sitting where Luna was now wondering something similar only she had trued fitting in with people that weren't from Aesir before, and they hadn't taken to kindly to her. in fact they tried to kill her. so she had no idea what she was going to do in a city filled with people like that. When she hear movement outside of the high bushes she hid in case it was a human. it wasn't but she wasn't sure how an elf would treat a drow either.
Now that this elf was settled and relax Zelda thought that maybe she could use some gold, but how to get it? Silenly she got low and stealthily made her way towards the elf. She pulled out a dagger its tip extra sharp she placed the blade gently it the fabric of a fat looking pocket. parting the fibers and spilling the contents into her waiting hand. It was now that he presence would probably noticed so she quickly pocketed he catch, and hid the blade back in her boot, and put on a smile.

Luna's mind was wondering from thoughts of her family across the sea to her friends at the Tavern. Of course... they really weren't her friends, per say, more of gambling buddies. She rolled her eyes at the thought and then her ears picked up something, or someone, else around her. She stayed calm, but listened as that person, who seemed to be a little more quiet than a human, sneaked up behind her and she felt the threads of her pocket being cut and she heard her gold ching as they landed in the person's hand.
And in a flash, she was on top of the other person, dagger at their throat and their arms pinned above her head. "You know... where I come from, the penelty for theft is..." but she trailed off. She turned her head to see the girl's long slender ears. A Drow? But there seemed something less graceful about the girl below her. Perhaps a half-breed? She let go of the girls hands and put her dagger away. In her foreign tongue, that was, unfortunately a lot like the Drow's, she asked why she would steal from someone that is in the same position as she.
She slipped off the girl and stood at the lady's side, and waited an answer as she offered a hand.

Oops it seemed she had made a mistake it was times like this she wished he had listened to her teacher when he was talking about familiars because having one in this situation, with her hands bound and a blade to her a throat a rat or a raven would make a nice save. She was sure the elf was going to finish her sentence with 'death' and the finish her, something she might have welcomed but she was ready to use her legs to get out.
But then The elf stopped when she noticed the ears, and got up. For once her race saved her? Now that was unexpected. But then the woman spoke in elvish and Zelda got a bit embarrassed. "I'm sorry I don't speak elvish, only common. My mother left before she could teach me and my mentor didn't know it either so... Could you repeat that?" She asked getting up.

Luna watched the gal as she looked up at her sort of surprised. She raised a brow as the girl retorted with the common language that she didn't know, because her mother left early before she could teach her. She nodded lightly, still unsure if letting the Drow go was a good idea, but heh - more friends, more allies. She tilted her head lightly, brushing her hair over her shoulder and looked at the girl as she stood without the help of her hand. "I asked, what are you doing stealing from someone in the same position you are in?" she asked, crossing her arms and holding out her hand after a moment.
That was some hard-earned pick-pocketed gold that Drow had stolen from her, and she was not going to just let her walk away with it, especially since she did not take into account that Elves' hearing was far more superior despite the difference in ear size. She looked at the lady before her and waited for both a response and her gold.

"What do you mean same situation? You have no Idea where I've come from or what I've had to deal with." She scolded angrily at the Elf. And then her lip began to quiver and her eye teared up as she mustered up emotions of loss and she cryed fake tears"My home is gone, my mentor is dead, I haven't heard from my parents in nearly twenty years ,and every one despises my very presence. what in the gods' names do you know of my situation!" She screamed with face distress as she got down sat back on the log and continued to sob.

Luna raised a brow as the Drow started to snap and sob at her. She had heard a story like this tons of times before, but she did show sympathy... sort of. She looked at the girl and then sat down next to her. "What I mean is that you are not like the humans and you probably don't have a place to stay and I can guess by your failed attempt to pick-pocket me, you have no job nor are you a very good robber." she added, crossing one leg over the other.
"And if you to were ASK for gold or help, perhaps it would be given to you," she stated. "Now. I'm not human. I have no job, but am quite a bit better at pick-pocketing than you are, and I have no place to stay. See how we may be the slightest alike?" she asked. She was exercising all her patients with this girl and she wondered if it was really worth it. She sighed lightly and threw a rock into the lake to settle herself a bit.
After a long moment of silence, she looked at the girl and proffered her hand. "I'm Luna."

Looking up and wiping her eyes with a sniff. "They call me Zelda," She said shaking the hand. "and I use to live in Aesir before the fall. And usually I'm good at what I do it's just I'm more use to a city and humans are far easier targets." She sniffed. She had yet to give the gold back and hoped that the sob story would be enough of a distraction to keep it.

Ah yes. A Drow perhaps somewhere near to her age. She shook the girls hand receiving her name. She nodded once and firm and let their hands drop as the polite length of a shake ensued. She heard her say that she was usually better....just more used to human targets that were much easier to steal from unnoticed. Luna agreed with that. They couldn't hear S well as she, or the Drow next to her, could. But that, however reminded her that Zelda here still had her gold. "Its nice to meet someone close to my age.... but my gold? Please." She held out her hand, supinated and easy for her gold to be returned to its rightful ...well almost rightful owner.

What an attitude. She arched a brow and looked at the gold. She thought about it for a moment and then stuffed half of the gold in her pouch and gave half to her. She smiled and winked at the gal. "How about you and I head down to the tavern and have ourselves a refreshing brew?" she asked her. Maybe they could learn a little more about each other and become better friends. "And I could teach you a little bit about pick-pocketing." she laughed lightly.

Well its seemed that maybe she had won. Zelda took the gold with a thankful smile, knowing that she had just gotten away with three quarters of the gold Luna had been carrying. "Sure that might be fun. " She responded.
