Not so much a plot discussion so much as something somewhat separate from plot stuff: MAFIA!
Tis a fun game usually played in big groups, that we converted into a game played real-time over proboards. Games usually lasted about a week, with activity kinda tapering off in the second half, when most of the people were dead.
Methinks it could work again. Now that I'm on a regular schedule, with school and all, I might be able to run some games, after we convert them into something more setting-appropriate.
Imma post the rules we had at the other site, then go through and figure out what needs to be changed.

Alright, the basic rules are fairly simple, though it you need anything clarified, feel free to post and ask questions here, so we can clear up all confusion right away.
There are two teams, good guys and bad guys. The good guys are called something like: "villagers" or "townsfolk" and represent the regular 'ol people. The bad guys, on the other hand, are called "Mafia" or "werewolves" or something else negative. Basically, everyone is given a role at the beginning of the game that no one else is told, normally via a card with the role printed on it, which they are not allowed to show others. In this case, it would be a PM with your randomized role, which is not allowed to be shown to others, though you are allowed to verbally state what you are, or even lie about what you are if it is convenient.
Now, the good guys outnumbers the bad guys and both sides are trying to eliminate the other side before they get eliminated. There are two stages to the game, the night stage and the day stage.
Now, during the night stage the bad guys confer with one another and decide upon a single victim to kill, who is announced the next morning. During the day stage, everyone discusses amongst themselves and tries to determine who the bad guy(s) are. At the end of the day everyone can vote to lynch one person. Rinse. Repeat. It keeps going like this until either all the good guys die or all the bad guys die.
As you can probably tell, this is also known for being a game about deception and seeing through deception to figure out who is and who isn’t evil.
In an FFU variant, each day would literally be represented by a day. In other words, I, the moderator, would announce each morning who was killed the previous night and announce that the time for discussion and voting has begun. Then, about 12 or so hours later, or as close to it as I can manage with classes and whatnot, voting would be closed, someone would be announced lynched and the night phase would begin, wherein people would have about 12 hours to PM me what actions, if they have any (such as bad guys decision on whom to kill), they are taking, to be announced the next morning.
Once you are dead, that’s it for you. You are no longer allowed to share information in the discussion threads, nor can you vote, of course. Basically, you sit tight, even if you’ve figured out who all the bad guys are and see if everyone else can manage it on their own. I know it can be infuriating if you have information you want to pass on, yet got killed before you had the chance, but please try to play fair.
Note: I realize that it would probably be very easy to cheat, especially if two people use the same computer. In other words, this is a game for fun, relying on the hope that other people are also here to have fun and wouldn’t try to ruin it for those who do decide to follow the rules.

I’m making a list of all the potential roles you can be given in this variant, they will follow a format similar to this: “Character(What it‘s known as in mafia/werewolf): What role this character plays.” Here we go:
Students(townsfolk): Basic role, no special powers. Is trying to get rid of all the lycans before they get killed.
Lycan(werewolf/mafia): Basic bad guy. Knows who all the other lycans are and is trying to kill all the students before they can be stopped.
Vampire(second mafia): The other basic bad guys. They know who the other vampires are and function exactly like lycans (choosing one person to kill per night, trying to end up killing everyone not on their team).
Azrael(seer/inspector): On the students side. During each night phase, can request to see the identity of a single other player.
Talon(defender/angel): On the students side. During each night phase, can choose to protect any player, unless other than the player they chose the previous night. For that night only, that player is does not die if chosen by the lycans.
Tiberius(cupid): On the students side. On the first night(only once), chooses two people to be lovers. They will be informed who their other lover is, which shall not be revealed to any other players. Regardless of former teams, those two now work together as their own team and can never vote against one another for any reason. Unfortunately, if one lover dies, for any reason, so does the other.
Roan(village elder): On the students side. Roan can survive through two attempts to kill her before she is actually killed. Whether it be through vote or lycan attack, the first attempt on her life does not count.
Tybalt(journalist): On the students side. Every night, this person chooses two other characters. The next morning, the Iberian Augur will post one of their identities, only proclaiming it is the identity of both. For example, Tybalt chooses player1(a lycan) and player2(a student), the next morning the Augur will have one of two articles, either “Player1 and Player2 revealed to be lycans!” or “Player1 and Player2 are both students!”.
Felix(fool/drunk): On the students side. When this character is chosen by the students during the day, their identity is immediately revealed. Instead of being killed, the school realizes they’re just too adorable to be evil and decides not to kill them after all. Unfortunately, no one takes them seriously again, so their vote no longer counts.
Mury(scapegoat): On the students side. If there is ever a tie vote among the students, they decide instead to blame it all on Mury, who is killed in place of whomever the votes were originally for.
Scorpius(hunter): On the students side. Whenever the hunter is killed, for whatever reason, they immediately choose one other person to kill.
Dominique(vigilante): On the students side? Only in larger games. Once per night, separately from the lycans, this character chooses someone to kill.
Fenrir(Don): On the lycans side (use only in large games). If there is ever a tie vote between lycans, Fenrir’s vote is the deciding factor. Once or twice per game during the night after another lycan has been killed (moderator should explain the specifics per game), this character may choose to turn another character into a lycan, who retains whatever role they had before in addition to being on the lycans team.
Romulus(don): On the vampires side (only use in large games). If there is ever a tie vote between vampires, romulus' vote is the deciding factor. Once or twice per game during the night after another vampire has been killed (moderator will explain specifics per game), this character may choose to turn another character into a vampire, who retains whatever role they had before in addition to being on the vampires team.
Jesus(…): On the students side. Once during the game, Jesus can bring back any player who has died within the past turn. For example, during the night they could bring back the person lynched that previous day or during the day they could bring back someone killed the night before.
Desu(Unabomber): On no one’s side (use only in large games). Whenever Desu dies, for any reason, both the player above and below Desu on the list also blow up. If the players above or below Desu are already dead, it kills the next alive person in the list.
Oldie(sheriff/mayor): Not an actual player, per se. After everyone has been given their role, there can be the option to take a vote to elect an “Oldie”. There can only be one at a time and whenever the elected Oldie dies, they choose a new Oldie to take their power in addition to what they started out with. The Oldie’s vote counts as two votes.
Note: if Fenrir or Romulus ever attempts to convert a vampire or lycan, respectively, then the converting attempt fails and does nothing. Though, this does not use up the converting attempt of Fenrir or the Vampire Master, which they can attempt again the following night.

It was for a HP RP site, so the rules will very likely be much more similar to the originals than these, which were made largely to reflect actual members on the site for roles. Since the roles are things like "seer" and "elder" and such, they translate into a swords and sorcery setting more readily. XD

I think this sounds like a wonderful game! ^^ I would love to play it!
But perhaps we should wait until we have actually more MEMBERS instead of members just making more profiles? I think it would be more fun with more people that actually aren't playing like.... five people on one team. Sure the odds are 50/50 that they would win, but... the more the merrier right? =)
I love this game! Let's get people signed up Azzy! Count me in. Hmm... I think I"m going to do the Mafia side... the bad guys =)

Well, I'd only organize the basic rules currently, though when playing I would only let each person play, not each character. That way everyone has a pretty fair chance to win. Then, of course, positions within it would be random, you don't get to choose to be mafia. XD

Damnit! haha all right
It's still a cool consept. We used to play this at my church and we did it at about 2am with no lights and we were the Mafia and the C.I.A. and we had duct-tape balls that were our granades and if we hit someone with one, they had to go to jail for about five minutes, or until one of their own team mates saved them from jail and they escaped without being hit. it was a log of fun. A little different, but in RL it's twice as fun =)

no when your out your out unless jesus saves you. Its a game of illimination with the mafia trying to get rid of the city folk and the city fulk trying to t root out the mafia. The villagers are completely blind yet the mafia knows who its members are. Mafia gangs aren't big 2-4 members per mafia game and Really big mafia games can have rival gangs. really all we need is about 10 people a bunch of good guys and a few organized bad guys.
