"You're only part drow?"
She was a sorceress and a thief. Not just one dangerous career path, but two. Xannon would have to be careful. Her skills lied in running away--not in combat. The drow was curiously unguarded and open. Perhaps, instead of naivete, this was because she could kill anyone who betrayed her easily enough.
Xannon blanched. A little.
"Uh, well I just arrived in Avaren a couple days ago. I've just been livin' off my savings and haven't gotten a job... yet."
Right. Because someone who looked as young as her could definitely get a job, right?

"And what are you going to do when those savings run out? Get a job, or a boyfriend, or are you going to beg for gold?" The drow girl asked. Knowing the girl would have problems doing both she wanted the girl to see her side.

"Eh? What will I do?" Xannon paused for a moment, pursing her little lips as she gazed into the distance. She could beg, she could get "adopted," she could steal, or she could work. Working was the most preferable option, but the most important thing was to keep her expenses down. Cheap housing, eating only once or twice a day, working with magic more, etc.
If she did well, then she could become a full-fledged mage quickly enough to be without too much worry.
"Well," she continued, flashing a grin, "I'll come to that when I come to that."
She unfolded her legs and hopped off her makeshift bench.
"It was interesting talking to you, Lady. Do you have a name?"

"Call me Zelda, and now that i know your not a kid. You pull a stunt like that again we won't be having such a pleasant chat afterwords." she said seeing that their little meeting was coming to an end. Maybe she would have to try a tavern see if any one wanted to by her a drink or two. She really didn't want to sink that low though even thievery seemed to be more ethical.

"Ha. My name's Xannon, by the way," snorted the childlike woman. "So long as you don't call me a kid, then I ain't got a problem with it."
With that, Xannon waved and headed off.
