Luna was at a table with some crazy characters that called themselves men. One was a trader, traveling from kingdom to kingdom in hope that his items would fetch better prices in different places.... he was dressed in a blue and brown suit and was probably holding a horrible hand. The man to her right was a fisherman, an honest fellow, but quite queer indeed. And the man to her left was just the game master, who was in his green suit, signifying his profession.
She smiled lightly, looking at the jackpot of gold in the middle and she added some more. The trader folded and the game master and fisherman matched her raise. She new that the fisherman was nervous, but not sure what about, and what did the game master care? he would just make his money back with another game with more men. She smiled and raised her anty more. They matched again and then it was time to show cards. The fisherman laid down a full house, the game master one pair, queen high, and she laid down a royal flush.
They all moaned as she pulled the pile over to her edge of the table and tossed back her cards to the game master. She paid her dues, but left with almost all of it. She rushed up to her room, tucked it away, and then came back to the bar, an empty pint in her hand. She would have to get another... she was almost tipsy... and she had all ready had a dozen of them. She chuckled to herself slightly... she loved her races' immunity to alcohol, but looooved a good tingle.
Settling down at the table next to the game master's table, she sat down and crossed one leg over the other. She was in her traditional robes from her home country... just because they were comfy, and she felt like being a little lazy today. The bar maid set down another pint and she took it up, drinking quite a bit, before setting it back down on the table.

Ah, the Tavern. That lovely little hideaway in any town worth its salt where people of all creeds and codes come to do things they'll regret the next day. Adelay strode into the establishment as if he owned the place and strode up to the bar with the swagger and grace one would come to suspect from an Elf. It had been a long, hard, but productive day between the shooting range and the Academy library and Adelay felt it would be appropriate to reward his hard work.
He ordered himself a hard cider to get himself started and casually laid down a few coins for the Barkeep. As he waited for his drink to be served, Adelay turned about and leaned up against the bar, looking at the crowd he'd be sharing the evening with for better or worse. There were a few good prospects in the room tonight to be sure. Farmer's daughter, busty waitress, a fellow adventurer who was surely trying her very hardest to resist the advances of a balding fish monger. As he picked up his mug, Adelay looked out towards the far tables and caught the sight of a stunning specimen of Elf and nearly had the flagon fall out of his grip. "Bullseye..." He whispered to himself, deciding that this lovely woman sitting by herself was a crime that could not go uncorrected. He slugged down his drink and layed out some more coins on the bar. "Another one of these and one of whatever she's having, I'll be over there." He ordered before taking the plunge, as it were. The tan-skinned Elf rallied his stores of confidence and made his way towards her table. "Excuse me, but I couldn't help but notice you all alone in here. Would you like some company, or should I give you your privacy?" He asked, flashing her a gentle smile.

Tonight was no different from any other night here at the neighborhood Tavern... men drinking, smoking on pipes, and flirting with the barmaids and whoever else had boobs in here. Of course, all of them knew that Luna was FAR off limits... They had seen what had happened to the last guy that laid a finger on her and they steered clear of her unless they had some business they wanted to discuss with her. She waved to a couple guys she knew that were regulars here and smiled; they were decent enough young men, just were in the wrong place.
She sighed and rested her chin on her folded hands, looking down at the three-quarters empty pint in front of her and giggled lightly at it. Thirteen down, and much more to go. Bloodwing was gone again today, reading his book, and she was alone and back from her adventures. So she decided that drinking to come to a tipsy state would be fun.
She looked up as soon as she heard footsteps walking towards her. She watched the man... no wait... he was an elf? She smiled at him lightly as he said he noticed she was all alone over here and wondered if he could join her. She didn't see any harm in talking to one of her own kind, so she nodded and raised a hand, offering the seat across from her. "Be my guest, Elf." she smiled lightly at him. It was not very often that she ran into another elf, so she was excited to have found one.... or more correctively speaking... found her.

"Why thank you." He replied, clearly oblivious to what he was potentially getting himself into. Adelay removed the fine Cherrywood colored bow slung about his shoulder and rested it against the wall next to him before taking his seat. "I must admit, it is a delight to see another Elf in this town, much less such a lovely one. My name is Adelay, and--" He began to say before being interrupted by a Barmaid.
"Your drinks, sir." She said courteously as she placed down the drinks he had ordered before making his approach before being dismissed with a quick smile and nod.
"And would you look at that? I'm a magician." He joked over the sudden appearance of the drinks. The timing was a bit off, he noticed as his new companion still had drink left in her cup and the barmaid had cut off his introduction. He made a mental note of this for if he wanted to try that stunt again sometime. With that, he took his mug of Cider and slid it in front of him and looked back over to Luna with a smirk.

As he thanked her and set down his bow, she smiled as she looked at it. What a wonderfully designed bow. But wooden? Perhaps he was a forest elf. She looked back at him as he began to say how much of a delight it was to find another, not to mention lovely, elf in Avaren. Oh here we go... she thought to herself. She thought she was done with flirty men here. But then again... she had never seen the man before, so perhaps he had not heard who she was with. But right now, Luna was looking for a good time, and this... Adelay, seemed to be looking for more fun than she was.
The barmaid came with drinks and he remarked that he was a magician. She laughed lightly and nodded, draining her pint in front of her, and handing it to the barmaid as she took another long swig from the new pint he had ordered her. She looked over the rim at him and he was smirking at her. She raised a brow and set the pint on the table. Swallowing, she spoke. "I'm Luna, Adelay. It's nice to meet you as well. Not very often you run into one of our own kind around here..." she commented. Oh the beer was beginning to tingle...
(ooc: i have to get to bed. but it's been fun! ^^ i'll be back tomorrow night! ^^)

There was something about how she was responding to his advances that lead him to believe he was coming on a bit too strong. If he had stayed the course next thing he knew, he could have ended up with that drink in his face and a smacked cheek... And that was only if he was lucky. A lady like this has probably seen every play in a man's book and lived to tell the tale.
"Come now! Adelay thought, taking a swig from his mug of Cider. "You're better than cheap lines and stunts. You wish to get to know this woman, don't you? Strength comes from the Heartwood!" And with that brief affirmation of his family's credo, Adelay let his act go as if he had just released a cape made of stone from his neck. He looked a bit more comfortable and his cocky smirk evolved into a more genuine full smile. "You'll have to excuse my initial behavior if I seemed too boorish. I suppose I was so excited to see someone of my own kind again, I became too over eager." He apologized, placing a hand on his chest and leaning forward briefly in a small bow.

Luna thought out all her options. She could a) thank the man for the beer and head to her room to wait for Bloodwing, b) just kick and run, c) stay and be entertained by this mans tactics to get her to bed or d) genuinely try to make friends with the Elf. It was important in every Elvin community to be connected with everyone, so if something happened somewhere to someone....at least one person would know about it. But then again.... when it came to her profession.... she didn't really need anyone nosing around in her business.
She looked at Adelay as his mood changed from Flirty to friendly in a matter of moments. She took another swig of her beer and nodded to his comment. She smiled lightly and let out a lift sigh between her parted lips. "Pedich i lam edhellen?" She asked him.

"Tancavë. Ma hanyalyen?" He responded, not missing a beat. Elven, what a nice surprise. He had been forced to use Common for so long, he was worried he'd never hear their beautiful language again. She seemed to be using a different dialect of Elven than he was used to, but he understood easily enough. It was probably just the Elven tongue of these Northern lands. Or at least wherever she was from. Either way, the elegant Elven words coming from her lovely voice was music to his ears.

She smiled as he responded in their language. They were drawing attention to themselves, but people always loved hearing their language. There was something melodic about it and it was wonderful to listen to. She smiled at him and nodded. "Hanyan yúyo," she stated. She smiled again, excited to be able to talk in her own, familiar tongue again. "Mana nalyë? Ma nal nessa? Var.... ma nal linyenwa?" she asked him, curious to know. It was always exciting for Luna to find someone of her kind in a foreign place. And this one just happened to seem interested in her. Too bad. As far as Southern Elves went, he was rather handsome... but it was not even close to her darling Bloodwing. She sent a wish Bloodwings way and then waited for a reply.

"Ehh... Nalye. Essenya Adelay Saenes. Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo. Sa, Avaren... Man caruval tyalien tanomë, Luna?" Adelay replied, resting his arm on the back of his chair and chuckling a bit. Truly he was enjoying this lady's company. It was a good thing he wised up to his own silly actions or he wouldn't have gotten this far. Although, he could not help but pick up the mutterings of the people behind him with his keen Elven ears.
"Poor fool..." Whispered the man behind him whom was playing cards with Luna. Adelay's brow arched and wondered what he could have meant.
"What does he mean, 'Poor fool'?" He asked, continuing the Elven, gently gesturing behind him to the man. He was curious, but just in case the Elf didn't want the man to know he was onto him.

Bloodwing had been reading his book at the academy, but he had only been brushing up and a weapon enchantment spell he needed for something else he was doing that day. After the spell was memorized. He left the academy and made his way down to the market place. There he found the blacksmith to which he had given some rather special plans.
The black smith looked up with his soot covered face. and his eyes widened. He ran back to get something and as Bloodwing walked up to the work bench that doubled as a counter the blacksmith came back carrying a beautifully simple looking sword except for the runed that where etch into the blade. "Pay me and get this thing the hell away from me. You where right about those symbols and i don't want anything to do with his thing." Bloodwing chuckled. "Fine here's your gold" He said handing the man a hand full of gold coins. and taking the blade which felt light in his hands and perfectly balance. It was then that he decided that he had to show Luna his new toy.
So from there he made his way toward the Tavern unaware of the 'poor fool' that happened to be hitting on woman that was already his. He entered the bar and all the attention that was being paid to the pair of elves was now being payed to the dragon with a freshly forged blade at his hip. The chatter in the room went silent as Bloodwing looked around and then saw what was causing all the stress.
If he where in his draconic body right now he would be growling. He walked over having just heard his last statement. Then in elven he said, "Maybe it's because they see a dead elf in the making." He said as he stepped up be hind the male elf's seat. "How are you doing Luna?" he asked in common. his daring her to do something foolish. He wasn't sure of the situation but the ice these two where dancing on was suddenly getting extremely thin. The slightest misstep could be disastrous.

Ah. A young one? She nodded lightly as he continued to talk. Young was just around one-hundred, and she wondered where he was at. She had met others that called themselves young, but they were just a childish twenty-five. She smiled at him lightly, sipping on her cool, fizzy beer and could feel color coming to her face. All right... her new limit was thirteen, much better than her usual twenty-five. She raised a brow as he asked her what she did for fun in the town, but as she was about to reply, he asked what the man behind them meant when he said 'poor fool'. Luna's eyes traveled from the Elf before him, to the human-form dragon, her lover, Alexander behind him.
He told him it was because there was a dead elf in the making and Luna looked up at Bloodwing, her eyes half-open and her face expressionless. He asked her how she was and she leaned back in her chair, still holding her pint. "I'm fine... taking care of myself, Alex. You need not worry. This young elf was kind enough to buy me a beer." she let her gaze turn from expressionless to 'don't you dare do something you'll regret'.

Fortunately his Elf ears weren't just good for picking up idle chitchat from behind him. It was also good for hearing the footfalls of an angry man on the verge of hissy-fit. Especially when the whole bar had gone silent around this newcomer as he plodded and jangled behind him. Coming with every tough guy cliche, he placed the cherry on top that was a death threat onto the Elf. He then continued to pass the threatening onto Luna. Luna then proceeded to pass the threats back with just a look. It took Adelay a second to realize these two were in some strange way involved. It made him wonder briefly why she hadn't brought this up earlier, although it didn't surprise him that such a goddess was already involved. Though, one could suppose that behind every beauty there was a beast. "Friend of your's?" Adelay asked, wanting to get the whole story for one. Also, beginning to work out a plan in case things had started to get ugly.

Bloodwing's gaze stayed on Luna a bit returning her threat in kind. It was fortunate he was in a good mood. Or thinks might have already gone pretty badly. "Well Isn't that nice of him, buying you a drink." He said in a forced nice voice. Seeing that things could get out of control really quick a barmaid walked up to him and bravely said. "Here Mr. Skye, your usual?" She asked. He snapped out of his cruel thoughts a moment. and took the drink she was holding and handed her a silver coin. "Thank you dear."
His attention was the brought back to Adeley by his question to Luna. "Friend? You could say that. He grabbed an empty chair and sat it next to Luna. "Luna, darling i have something to show you when your finished teasing the boy. He said giving here a charming and loving smile. He wanted to show up the elf. and he knew throwing threats around would just send the wrong message. Heck he'd kiss her right here if he wasn't unsure of whether or not she felt like displaying intimacy in front of her elf friend."

He commented that it was nice of the young man to buy her a drink, and she nodded as she took another sip of her beer and watched him sit down. She swallowed her mouth-full of beer and was about to answer Adelay's question, when Alex beat her to it. She sighed lightly and nodded. "We're a little more than friends Adelay." She giggled. She was now tipsy, and everything was going to be hilarious from here on out.
"Is it long, shiny and sharp?" emitting a small laugh, she could see the sword on his belt, but she continued. "And I'm not teasing the boy, Alex. Sure... he was flirty at first, but I was just enjoying his company." she pouted and then giggled again. "You've been gone for so long!" she teased him. She looked back at Adelay. "I hope I was not mis-leading! I just was happy to find another elf as a friend around here." she giggled and took another long sip of her beer. "Barmaid! Another!" she chimed with a huge smile on her face. She looked over at Adelay and raised her new foamy pint to him. "To a new dear friend!"
