A day or so ago Malachy had been at the local tavern when a priestly fellow got up and decided it would be a good idea to get a group to together to go and personally find out what had become of Aesir and maybe retrieve what ever tomes, relics, or treasures they could find. Malachy, being a previous resident of Aesir decided to at least go and see what had happened to his home.
There had been another man that said he would go for the right price. The man had been a brute of a man the type that take and probably give a good sized beating. So having made themselves a little adventuring group. Malachy went and got his things together, but when it finally came time to be on their way the Man didn't show up. Probably found another job or something/ So here he was at the Barrack looking for another person to fill the void,

Taking a break from his training regimen at the Archery Range, Adelay was taking the opportunity to explore the Barracks some more. Get an idea of where certain things were should he need them later on. He drew a towel from his bag and quickly wiped away the sweat of a good day's training off of his brow. He then drew his pair of copper and gold goggles from his eyes and set them on his forehead. As he milled about the Barracks, giving courteous nods to what warriors he'd happen to lock eyes with as they passed, Adelay spotted what looked like someone of the Arcane persuasion.
"Bit of the sore thumb, isn't he?" Adelay thought to himself as he sized up this person from afar. Perhaps he was lost or just needed a big box moved? Those pure magicians never did have much of an ample frame, as it were. Whatever is was, Adelay had been bitten hard by the Curiosity Bug and decided to find out. "Excuse me, are you lost? Do you need help with something?" The Elf asked after approaching the Mage in a non-threatening tone.

Well it seemed his accidental strategy of sticking out had worked, for as he looked around trying to figure out which brute to ask first he hear someone calling to him. He turned and saw the lithe form of an elven man. "No I'm not lost, but whether or not I need help is a bit subjective I would say." He said approaching the Elf. "My name is Malachy, and quite simply I'm looking for another person to accompany myself, and a friend to Aesir to recover what ever trinkets we can from the fallen city. Since neither he nor I are exactly strong in the physical sense, I was hoping to maybe recruit some muscle."
If the man had had heard anything about the recent news in Aesir, he would know that the place was no crawling with undead. And such a quest would indeed need more than mental power, but some physical strength as well.

Adventure? Riches? Battle? There may not have been an Elven word in that sentence, but this Mage was definitely speaking Adelay's language. The very prospect of this adventure made his eyes light up at the sheer possibilities. There was no two ways about it for him, he had to be on this mission.
"Well then, I dare say look no further. Permit me to introduce myself. I am Adelay Saenes, at your service." Adelay replied followed by a short bow. "I may not be a hulking Berserker from the northlands, but you'll find my arrows carry much more than a punch. I would be happy to demonstrate, if you like?" He added, selling himself as any good Adventurer would

"Well then your welcome to join. I'm sure your skills as an archer have earned you sharp eyes and reflexes as well." He said trying to give compliments. Then the elf asked if he's like to see a demonstration and he nodded. "If you want to demonstrated your skill you can. But the reputation os ELven Archers already precedes you so I'll take your word for it."
Then something else came to mind. "We're not sure when we're heading out. Any place you'd like me to send a message to, when the time comes?" he asked.

"Oh, well fantastic then." Adelay replied enthusiastically. It had been a while since he went out on mission, and the Elf was very excited to go out and get the adrenaline pumping again. Plus if he managed to find some valuable or useful Arcane artifact in the rubble of Aesir, then more power to him. As he contemplated the possibilities, the Mage moved onto further business in asking where he could be contacted.
"Well, at the moment I'm lodging here at the Barracks. So I suppose a message sent here would have the best chance of reaching me." He responded after thinking about it for a second. Who knows, perhaps when this was done, maybe he could afford a more comfortable place to hang his goggles for a while? That would be nice.

Escke being around or near the Warrior's Barracks was not an unusual thing. In fact, she made it a regular event to go down, help out with the laundry or cooking dinner and just helping wherever she could. As a supporter of "true" Avaren, she knew where the real power lay: in the army. Not some shoddy Mage's Academy, that was for sure. So it was that as much as she could, she helped around with the less-important tasks.
She was just carrying a basket of freshly washed laundry when she had caught some of the conversation of these two apparent strangers meeting for the first time. Adventure, of some sort, is what it sounded like, and though she wanted no part in it herself, she was always happy to encourage the warriors to get out and do some good for the city.
"Are you two going out on a trip of some sorts?" She smiled, soft and demure, like she'd taught herself. Simple was what was needed, here. "I'm sure our church would love to aid your trip with supplies and a Blessing. We love to help our warriors, after all."

Malachy turned to see a woman with a laundry basket speaking to them. The church... he knew all about Avaren's church. and he seriously didn't want their help. "Indeed we could use a blessing and maybe some supplies." Hiding with great skill the pain he was feeling as he tried to get along her. And just in case she was sincere he decided to explain a little more. "It will take more than a mage, a cleric, and an archer to survive the trials of Aesir. We plan to bring back what ever may be of value, to the city, martial, and magical residents alike."

She felt one of the corners of her mouth twitched as he mentioned who would be going and where they'd be off to, but she'd already offered. Besides, simple and demure. She couldn't start mouthing off here, not like this. There were still plenty of warriors who trusted the mages, after all. She swallowed lightly, smiling wide as ever.
"Oh, of course. Yes, some supplies! Our city really does need all the, er, help we can get. But.." This was hard. "You'll all be very careful, I trust? Aesir,"--it was all she could do not to spit the name--"is about as dangerous a place as you can go to." She shifted her weight, keeping the laundry basket steady.
"Either way, I'm sure we'd, er... Love to help out. Perhaps even send someone along with you to help."
Help burn it down where parts of it still stood, maybe.
Heretics.
