[continued from here] Alexander Skye pushed open the academy's gates. Xannon expected them to screech, but they remained surprisingly quiet. She examined their design. Curls of iron wrapped up and over one another, twisting occasionally until they reached the peak of the gate and united into an array of dark spears. She looked a bit more closely and spotted some pseudo vines wrapping up the ironwork with metal leaves occasionally branching out--the form was a bit too geometric to be natural, but the quality was Remarkable. Impressive. Damn Good. Xannon's dark brown eyes sparkled with curiosity. Was this silence from magic or a lack of rust? Did all cities have craftsmen so skilled to create such a fanciful thing? If nothing else, this entrance-way was both impressive and intimidating. Her heart beat a little faster. If nothing else, Xannon knew this was the place she was meant to be. After all of her wandering aimlessly and then traveling to this city, this academy already felt like home--even if she had yet to step a foot inside of the magnificent structure. Her tiny feet trampled on in before Alex, her, uh, guide, did. Wow, she thought, positively enamored. Xannon swiped her dry lips with her moist tongue and glanced back at the tall handsome man. She refused to grin like an idiot. She wasn't a kid after all. "So this is the place, Alex?"

There are all matters of magical knowledge within these wall. Magic derived from the from cosmos, to the abyss. If it has to do with magic here you can probably learn it." He said giving the welcome speech.
"Would you like a tour?" He asked her.

From the cosmos to the abyss, of heaven and of hell... And it was packed wall-to-wall with information on magic. This was exactly what Xannon was aiming for.
"A tour?" she asked, no longer able to hold back her grin. "Sure, Alex, thanks!"

"Well then follow me." He said leading her toward the building, "Obviously this is the main entrance." He said. "You'll notice that the air on this side of the walls and gate, is a bit warmer that the air outside. This is because the air's been magically altered to be like spring all year around." he explained.
He continued into the main entrance. into the main building. "There are This hall way leads to the main library and courtyard.' He said as the came to the library. He was careful to move slowly enough so that she could look around and keep up. Once at the library door he stopped, turned and asked "Any questions before we move on?"

This place was like spring all-year round? That was worth coming here alone! No more excessively hot days or frost-bitten nights--as a matter of fact, no more ridiculous snow she had to hop across like a bird.
They entered the lavish structure, the odor of various magics spinning through the air.
One could get to the main building through the main entrance, which then led to various other places. This particular path went to both the library and courtyard... Xannon sketched the layout in her thoughts. Unlike the town (too many people, ugh), this place seemed pretty easy enough to wander through. It didn't look that bad at all.
"Got it," she said after a moment, rubbing her cold hands together. "No questions."
She figured she probably wouldn't have any questions until she actually started studying here. For instance, learning how to read--she had a few characters down, so she figured she could probably figure out something.
