Viewing the Troops

"Of course peace is possible!" Vidar proclaimed, still rooted to the same spot, leaving the current attack to Tori. If she needed help, he might intervene, but for now she seemed more than capable of handling herself against this monkey man and this strange new woman who deciding to go hopping around the rafters- probably aided by some brand of vile sorcery.

He had only been partially listening to the speech by Rith. Quite frankly, it didn't matter in the slightest what the man said, as the general gist of the conversation clearly was not him begging for forgiveness for his sins and renouncing his evil ways.

"Peace is possible when every last one of the evil heretics who caused all the troubles of Avaren have been brought to justice. The people of Aesir we can forgive and convert into upstanding Avaren citizens, but the mages are beyond redemption. Every life lost during the war, it is all due to their hubris."

"Wrong." Rith said bluntly, taking the kick to the face and loosing the Scythe from his grip. Focusing his efforts on leaping backwards away from the following heavy swing of the Scythe. "You seek to assert your authority... but your power is long since gone. The power you attained pulling the strings of the royalty from the shadows before stabbing them in the back, in the end every drop of blood shed was on your hands." The Animist continued, turning the words of condemnation back onto Vidar for a change.

"Yet, when the true evil, the legions of nightmare creatures, rose and assaulted Avaren, where were you? With all the power in the Kingdom you failed to accomplish a single thing to aid the innocent civilians. No, what it took was the cooperation of Might and Magic to turn the tide and save the Kingdom. Still even now you seek to divide the nation again and try to play us against one another in another desperate bid for power. Please. You do not want the best for Avaren. You don't even want what's best for your benevolent and magnanimous deity. All you want, all you've ever wanted, is what's best for you. That is why you failed, and why you will always fail."

"Do your words seek my ears? Your maddened ravings are lost upon the truly faithful."

She brought her scythe up once more and swung at him at half-shaft, increasing her swinging speed, and thrust her scythe forward, the top of her scythe's blade also sharpened. These first few strikes were not all, however, as when she finished, she drew back her scythe to reap his ankles from behind...

As interesting as the banter between Vidar and Rith was Zelda found he attention draw to the girl with the scythe that was continuously attacked the mage.

She stepped forward just as the girl was thrusting her scythe around Rith's ankles. and she grabbed the Scythe's shaft, and pulled it trying to pull it away from Tori. "Okay you gotta stop." She scolded as if the woman where a child. She tightened he grip on the pole weapon and was about ready kick this girl's ass.
