Parin walked to the entrance of Avaren in her second best clothes. Lord Ryanald had always said to put your best foot forward, and when Parin had asked if that meant wearing your best shoes and clothes Lord Ryanald had replied that second best clothes were good enough, so long as one used the best manners and form. Parin missed Lord Ryanald, he had been a kind Master. If she's not understood what sort of brush or tack he needed for his horse Blackbond, he would always show her where it was kept and explain what it was used for and why. Eventually he had even taken the time to teach her to ride on one of this retired horses. She had grown especially close to Blackrider and Lifebond the parents of Blackbond. However after six months of working for him, Lord Ryanald had been called off to defend Avaren's boarders. Without Blackbond to take care off, her job was defunct. Lord Ryanald promised to rehire her once he returned but between then and now she needed to find another job. She'd used a little of the money she'd saved to make a sandwich board: I am looking for a Job!
My skills are: Stable Hand Intermediate Rider Cleaning
I have talents in magic but I have no formal training I am saving to acquire a magic tutor
Name and credentials given upon request. This she set up on the side of the road just inside the gate and stood beside it smiling bravely and making eye contact with whomever stopped to read.

Alex walked through the gate, after having spent some time at the lake. He wanted to get back to the academy and to his book. but something caught his eye. It was a young girl with a sign. The sign made him laugh. She really wanted a job it seemed and she was 'saving' for a tutor, just so happens he wanted someone to teach.
"Now that's an interesting way to advertise if I ever saw one." He said walking over. "You know, you could skip that whole top half if you've an open mind." He said the he held out a hand. "My name is Alexander Skye and I'm actually looking for an apprentice." He said.

Parin face lit up like it was her birthday - had she know what a birthday was. She was about to gush out her acceptance of such a position when a strong chill went up her spine making her stop cold. She'd had this feeling before when was it . . . It was the same feeling she'd gotten when she left the gates of Avaren years ago to get water and a Dragon of great size had nearly spotted her and eaten her, save for her invisibility cloak. Parin dearly wished, for some reason, to have her cloak right now.
But that was silly. This was not a dragon, he didn't even look like a half dragon! Looks can be deceiving warned the feeling of dread in her chest, go home now!
But he's offering me everything I've ever wanted!
Nothing come free in Avaren! They prize regular work too highly.
Parin couldn't help agreeing with this advice. "I can't afford a tutor right now, sir. The reason I put it at the end of the sign is so that my future employer might understand what type of person he'd be hiring. The last thing I'd want is to be employed by someone who couldn't stand my nature, and in turn not understand me and be cruel to me. Thank you so much for your interest in my dream, have a good day sir!"
Though it was only mid morning Parin began to take down her sandwich bored. Maybe the town square would be a safer place to set up.

Bloodwing shrugged at her answer. "Well if that's your choice, well then I'm not going to stop you." He said calmly. Inwardly however he was cursing. How dare she deny him. She would learn. when his day came she would learn. Did you know that learn and burn rhymed?
"Well then Have a nice day." he said. as he went along his way; wondering where he could find a few magic haters. Too bad none where around.
