"Well, sure I could go there as a bird. But why would I wanna?" The idea seemed ludicrous, even to him. "I got friends here now. It's fine, really."
Being worshiped as a god sounded a hell of a lot nicer than what he'd been put through. "Your village sounds so nice," he commented. "Sure wish I could visit it." Too bad it was gone, or whatever.

"You would have been welcome so long as you obeyed our laws." He said "I do miss home though. but it's time to move on. and speaking of moving on I should probably get back to hunting I have no money so buying food isn't an option I have to catch it my self now." He said shifting on the branch he was on. "You know you can join me if you want even if most of my hunters are solitary."

"Oh!" That's right, the snake had been trying to eat him, after all. This guy must still be pretty hungry. "T-That's funny, because my hunter is a pack animal."
Did he want to join this more or less stranger on a hunt? Of course he did. Even if he looked human, he felt more like a fellow animal, something that couldn't get Orca all anxious and worrying he was going to do or say something wrong. "Y-yeah, I'll come! I won't get in the way, promise. Th' wolf is a good hunter, really he is."

He smiled. "Alright, sounds like fun." He said. Then he turned into the Macaw again jumped to the ground using his wings like a parachute. And then he turned into a really big cat almost twice the size of the wolf. The cat was orange with black stripes down its face back and tail, and its belly was pale. He was a tiger a very beautiful and very dangerous jungle cat.

Orca nearly fell out of the tree. It wasn't the shifting that did it, though that in itself was pretty odd, seeing it on someone else. No, it was the fact the animal Kojo so effortlessly turned into was one he'd been dreaming of finding for years. He'd seen one of its kind before, and it had been a skin hanging up in the village elder's room. He wasn't sure what it was called, and so had always thought of it as a striped mountain lion. They had a lot of th' cougars around his home, and he'd grown up thinking the striped version was perhaps just rare, or maybe even extinct.
Apparently not!
"Oh, oh, I wanna be that," he said, and then couldn't say anything more because he was the little finch and was copying what Kojo had done, fluttering to the ground with spread out wings and then shifting into his own predator. The wolf's muzzle turned to regard the striped cat with an almost lazy respect. Orca had been in awe, but the lupine gave the giant feline appreciation where due, and left it at that.
He couldn't speak out loud to tell Kojo to lead on, but he didn't have to; the big cat would start when he was ready. What a pair they made, two gigantic carnivores, both with skin that stood out amongst the greenery of the woods. Kojo, with his bright orange coat and barred dark stripes, and then Orca, with his thick white fur that was more useful for blending in mountainsides. They would manage, he was sure.

The tiger's coat was far more stealth than it looked, when stalking they broke up the tiger's shaped and the orange coloring actually resembled the soil making it seem as if he was just a pile of dirt. Not to mention many prey animals in the 'forest', such as deer, where color blind so Orange wouldn't stand out anyway.
Kojo turned his big striped head up towards the tree when Orca almost fell and heard his comment on the animal that he was. Once they where finished maybe he would tell him about the tiger. What better way to learn about an animal than from a shape shifter.
He watched Orca jump from the tree and become a wolf. The Canine was smaller than him but he could tell that its sleek body was meant to for killing. He wondered briefly if he should become a wild dog instead but decided against it. He liked the tiger too much.
After a sniffing the air and catching the hint of a scent he made his way into the thick forest in search of a meal.

The big wolf watched as its feline companion began to head out, then, after a moment, followed, shadows dappling its snowy coat as it drifted along, almost seeming to melt into the background. Big paws found their way among the undergrowth with a surprising delicacy for such a big beast, nary a twig snapping or dead leaf rustling with its passing-by.
It was times like this Orca almost wished he had some means of communication while in other forms. Almost, of course, being the key word there. The wolf didn't need to speak in human tongue to tell its new packmate it had also caught the scent, no, he could tell from the way the tiger moved he had it too. An older buck, and near a source of water, most likely a small stream. You didn't need to have the instincts of a predator to know that meant the herd animal was thirsty and stopping for a drink, oh no.
The wolf glanced at the tiger out of the corner of one golden eye. He wasn't the alpha here; he'd wait for Kojo's signal, and then move in.

Good it was near the water, most smaller cats didn't like water but tigers found it quite fun and actually quite useful in a hunt. Kojo go low really low a once the prey was in view and began to stalk slowly his big paws silent and stealthy with each step. He was angling himself so that the deer would have to run into the river and hoped Orca could tell what he was doing. Finally he settle letting his muscles prepare for the sprint that was to come.
With a growl he jumped forward the startled deer jumped into the stream and was slowed for a moment as the two predators came after it. Kojo went for the throat jumping and digging its razor sharp claws into the animals back as his powerful jaws locked onto the the windpipe crushing it and holding it closed so that the animal would suffocate.

He caught what Kojo intended, and when the tiger leapt forward, the wolf erupted forward as well, blocking it from running away. It went into the stream as planned, and then the tiger had it. There was no need for the wolf to join in the killing blow, not when the big cat had the deer's neck between his jaws so expertly.
Instead, Orca jumped in the water and splashed his way over to the slain prey, latching his own teeth into its hindquarters. He began to drag it back, out of the water. Eating in the middle of the stream didn't seem like such a good idea, really, and he was sure Kojo wouldn't object.
It had been a short hunt, but successful. As much as the wolf loved the thrill of the chase, that's not why he did it, so he was satisfied. His fluffy tail wagged behind him, almost doglike, and he looked at Kojo with a grinning face -- as much as a wolf could grin, anyway. He'd start eating when Kojo did, but no sooner. It was only polite, after all.

Kojo helped drag the animal back to dry ground the dead weight was nothing for the tiger to carry. Once he was sure the animal was dead, as he found it a bit heartless to eat something while it was still alive. He walked around to its belly and began plucking a way fure before finally sinking his big teeth into the soft flesh of the belly allowing the viscera to spill onto the ground without waiting for orca the dug in to his prey.
As he gorged himself he was careful to do little more than stain the hide with blood and hoped that he could preserve it with orca here a leather jacket would really nice if weather wa to get as cold as Orca said.
