Morrigan strode into the city square, her blue eyes taking in the bustle and life of the city. How wonderful! The pleasure of seeing and speaking with friends, watching street performers ply their trade, and of course, of shopping. Shopping was a delicious pleasure, and one of Morrigan's favorite pastimes. Only, when she looked in her purse, she saw very few coins. So, just window shopping today, then.
She would have to remedy that immediately, for she knew that with enough coin, one could find almost any pleasure under the sun. But, she didn't know the laws of this land. In her homeland, she could have just stood there in that square, with her golden peach pendant marking her as a follower of Delicia, and in a few minutes, she'd be able to ply her own special trade in exchange for the money she required.
As it was, she took a seat on the edge of a fountain, contemplating her options. The real imperative was finding a place for the night, unless by ply of her trade, she could secure that too.

Horus walked through the market window shopping as as it where. He wasnted to se what sort of trade where already offered in Avaren, and he was happy to see that neither salt or silk where in high supply. His counties trades would be most welcome in this market place. Too bad he hadn't brought any, and good thing he had enough gold to pay for food, rooms and for a way back home. Plus some since he hid his spilled gifts in the mountains.
He didn't keep his money in a pouch hanging on his body like some idiots instead his was in sewn into his traveling cloak so no thieves could just get to it. As he looked around and though about buying some wool so he could maybe bring some samples home he noticed something far more fetching. A woman scantily clad sat at the fountain looking a little helpless. From her skin complexion she was from around his country and not only that the gold pendant caught his eye.
He approached her. "My dear." he asked. "Do you know what that pendant around you neck means?" He asked. about ready to laugh if she didn't. But if she did then she was probably for real. In that case he wasn't sure what he should do. What was Avaren's customs where and he knew that in some kingdoms her line of work if that's what it was, was frowned upon.

Morrigan too found folly in keeping your money hanging in a pouch at your waist. Her own purse was kept somewhere rather more secure, and as the young man approached her, she tucked it back between her breasts, where no thief would be able to lay a hand on it without her notice. She too noticed the similarities in their complexions, but took no special meaning from it. There were many peoples that possessed such a skintone throughout the world.
However, when he seemed to know what her pendant signified, she realized that he must be from some place near her home. Her blue eyes lit up with mischief. "Sir, do you mean this?" she lifted the chain with a single finger, and tried her best to imitate confusion. "It was given to me by my mother, from her homeland." She wondered how long she could keep him going like this. Of course, she would eventually reveal the truth, but in the meanwhile, she was going to enjoy the pleasure of the joke.

Her mother gave it to her? Really? "Yes that pendant." he said sitting down on the fountain next to her. The look of being clueless made he look really cute again he had to remind himself he was hear as a diplomat, then why had he sat down. "It looks very becoming, but where I come from it actually has some meaning..." Then he wondered was she teasing? if so maybe he should play along. "Would you like me to tell you what it means?" He asked with a coil little smile as if he was a bit shy.

She couldn't keep the pretense up, and she cracked a smile. "Sir, I was only enjoying a joke. I am a servant of Delicia." She felt quite pleased that she'd managed to fool him. Only, something was off about the way he was looking at her, and she wondered if somehow he'd gotten the wrong idea about her and her sisters.
"But, perhaps you ought to tell me what you think my pendant means." Too many mistook Delicia's followers for cheap whores. While they could, and often did provide their clients with pleasures of flesh, they were also trained in other way of providing pleasures. Morrigan herself was trained on several instruments; could dance, sing, and act fairly well; and was well enough read to provide the pleasure of stimulating conversation.

"Well..." he tried to to think of a way to word his sentence without offending her. because he only knew that women that wear the pendant seemed little more that prostitutes. Why was he talking to her again. "Well it's a holy symbol of a god of pleasure and well... lust... right. People that wear it..." was really getting uncomfortable. "Well where I come from many harem girls wear that pendant, and I've never thought to ask about all the details."
The thing was that she was gorgeous. The pendant said she was willing to please and he had money and hadn't even touch a woman since he left home. Truth be told he was considering buying the her and himself a room. But if the people of Avaren knew what she was and saw him with her, well not all people see such things in a positive light and he needed all the good graces he could get. So it was a battle between wanting some comfort and keeping his diplomatic reputation intact. Had he been home this conversation wouldn't be happening he would have just asked her to join him in his chambers.
