The barracks were a chorus of hearty "THWOK"s from the various arrows striking their respective targets as a tan-skinned Elf made his way to the archery range, rubbernecking at each pretty face he'd have the privilege to pass. Confident, he strode into an empty stall and pulled his bow off of his shoulder. His bow was not too different in design than any other Elven Longbow, but his bore a fine Cherrywood finish and had the words "Lida inorum saenes" engraved onto the top half of the bow. Adelay held this weapon very dear to him and had always been careful to keep it in the best of condition as possible.
For a moment he gazed down his left and right, observing the other archers and their technique. The variations were very intriguing to him, causing his brow to arch and his lips to curl. How all these people took their own unique path to the same goal. Adelay's Father had always told him that you can tell a lot about a person from the way they carry their weapons. Being amongst fellow archers again reminded him fondly of home, but he was not here to observe and reminisce.
"Very well. Let's get to work." Adelay said elated as he retrieved an arrow and pulled down the pair of gold and copper colored goggles over his eyes that was previously resting on his forehead. With that, he proceeded to launch his own arrows into the wooden bullseye at the end, keeping his groupings as close and centered as he could.

Kokoro stopped by the Warrior Barracks hoping there was a place she could practice to fight. Her skills were mostly to defend herself, but there was no harm in improving them. When she arrived, she could see someone who looked Elvish practicing archery. She was a bit fascinated, so she stopped and watched him shoot. She's thought about taking archery herself, but you have to have a good eye for that. Not that she couldn't learn, and long-ranged weapons are always nice so you don't have to fight face to face. But still; she was content with sticking with her dagger.
She sat on the grass and continued to watch. She could always find a partner to practice with later. Right now, this was much more interesting. Besides, she had a long day of selling stuff yesterday, and now it was time to relax. There was a slight breeze blowing, she could feel it in her hair. Her eyes were fixed on the arrows as she watched them speed towards a target. 'He seems really good,' she thought to herself.

It didn't take Adelay long to finish off his compliment of training arrows. Once he did, the Elf drew his goggles off from his eyes and left them to rest on his forehead as usual. He took a moment to observe his accuracy. It was good, but it still needed improvement. Of course a person is their own worst critic, and Adelay was no different. The tales of an Elf's deftness with the bow throughout the lands had caused their own standards for archery to be set absurdly high. With a sigh, Adelay hung his bow over his shoulder and began to set off for another quiverfull of arrows when he could strangely feel the presence of eyes upon him. He turned about and noticed a young woman observing him from the grass he hadn't noticed before. Interesting. With that, Adelay threw up a friendly smile and made his way over to her without a second thought.
" Good day to you, Miss. What brings a lovely young lady like yourself out to the Archery Range? Are you interested in learning the Bow?" Adelay asked, squatting down to speak with her on her level while still keeping a respectable distance from her.
