The jousting field, it was where young men sparred with one another outside the barracks, testing their mettle with the hopes of one day ascending the ranks of the Avaren army. Yet, theirs was a city that lived in opulence. Even if they did rise among the ranks, becoming the mightiest warrior among a groups of scared children didn't say much about your personal skill. These warriors had probably never seen a true battle throughout the course of their entire lives.
They would learn, or they would die.
After he was finished here, he would reach the front gates of the city itself and enter in triumph, piling the streets with corpses as the city guard gave way before him. Yet, for the moment he would focus on this group.
Giving a cry as he charged, he was satisfied to see the shocked expressions on the faces of the warriors, who quickly picked up whatever weapons they had at hand to meet his charge. With broad, sweeping strokes of his axe, he painted his armor red with their blood.

So Horus was bored, and when he showed up at the barracks looking for a bit of spar they told him that if he wanted a real challenge he would need to go to the jousting field. So after getting some directions he made his way to the outskirts of the city and found what he was looking for. And suddenly he got a really bad feeling. After having fought a magical army of sand creature, and having some relative control over the flow of time itself. He sort of developed a bit of a sixth sense for things like danger.
Their was a man clad in dark armor wielding and axe at the opposite end of the field. He couldn't see the man's face under that helmet but everything about him screamed danger. Without even thinking his hand went for the golden handle of his dagger. And the leather wrapped handle of his scimitar. Ran as he could, That familiar rush of adrenaline overpowering his senses. But he was too late the Knight had cut down a group of soldiers with a single swipe. "NOO!" suddenly the dagger was glowing and he felt him self running backwards. He saw the soldiers stand back up,and their wounds healed as the massive blade of the axe reversed itself removing it from their bodies as its wielder heaved it back and sprinted backwards.
What the hell the dagger was working? It still had power over time? The Prince didn't questiuon it for lon as soon as time stopped flowing backwards. he stopped where he was and as the knight ran back towards the doomed soldiers Horus lifted a hand and the ground itself heaved upwards in a wave to knock the knight off his feet.

Didn't he just kill a slew of warriors? Wasn't their blood splattered across the blackened plates of mail that made up his armored shell? Evidently not.
Yet before he could make his first attack, the ground itself lurched beneath his feet. His attack faltered and he stumbled slightly, falling to one knee. The warriors took this sign of weakness at a chance to spring toward him and get a pre-emptive strike.
One warrior was quicker than the others and arrived at the dark knight first. He carried only a sword on him and swung it awkwardly at the kneeling knight. Though he was not lacking in bravery, he was still about as green as they came. With a single gauntleted hand, the dark knight casually batted aside the downward stroke. Lunging up from the ground, he gored the man with the wicked horns adorning his helmet.
As the man fell to the ground, trying desperately to keep his innards from falling out of the gaping holes in his gut, the rest of the men reached him. Now, axe in hand once more, he swept it before him. They would all die.

Wow these soldiers really where idiots. He thought as the knight gutted the first young warrior that got to close. The Boy should have waited for his comrades couldn't the see that this foe wanted them DEAD. This wasn't a game, this wasn't practice it was do or die hesitation was death. Horus arrived within the arena just as the knight swung for the group. He forced the ground to shift beneath the solder all of them falling to the ground one. man in front was cleaved in two by the dark knights blade. while the rest survived.
Before the Knight made another attack The Prince ran at him. He was focused on the small area between the chest piece and the belt. He would slash at the knights weaknesses, the spaces between his armor. But the Horus was a trained and seasoned warrior. Though his goal was clear in his mind. It was subject to change, as he did not focus only on his target, but on ever movement the Knight might make. Who knows if the knight was quick and as skilled as he looked Horus would have to be ready to. dodge, or maybe even jump and go for a newly opened target.

Once again the ground shifted in the middle of the dark knight's attack. There was another force attempting to influence this battle, one that relied on magic instead of skill. Though he felled one of the warriors as he fell, his axe swing went wide of the rest of the group as they no longer held their footing.
Then, the magic user was upon him, before he could take advantage of the prone warriors. He was slashing at the points where his plates of armor met. It was to little effect, for beneath the plates he was guarded by a layer of chainmail, which were more than happy to absorb the blow. It took more than a petty slash from a generic blade to cut through his armor. Now, an arrow or rapier might have found purchase within the rings of mail, but that was not the case at present.
Now the knight turned to Horus. His was a strategy that took all forms of mundane armor into consideration. For it mattered little if he struck even the sturdiest of platemail head on, the sheer force from the swings of his weapon could shatter bones regardless of the shell his opponent was wearing.
Now, however, Horus was within striking distance, and with both hands on his mighty battleaxe, the dark knight swung a powerful blow, aiming to hew the man in half.

So the knight's armor 's weaknesses where far more resilient, Horus thought as he heard and fely his blad scrape against metal rings of his hidden armor. Then came the giant blade thaat left no room for error. Hora bent over backwards just as the blade would have cut through him. The heavy blade missed him by inches. With the backward momentum the Prince had gain by bending the way her did he extended his arms, landed on his hands and pushed off of the ground in one fluid motion. and landed back on his feet a few feet away.
"MEN, TO YOUR FEET!" He shouted a soon as he landed on his feet. The other soldiers where up now too. In all seriousness the one combat skill he lacked was commanding an army. "Don't hold back go for his arms and disarm him!" He shouted as he charged again hoping they would come in after he attacked. This time he grabbed his dagger. This time he would aim to stab rather than slash. But this time the knight would be ready for another attack and Horus would be the clear target so he would dodge, and roll around behind the knight and attempt a kidney shot, up through the back of his armor.

Why was this happening? Derpicus had only wanted to train with the skilled warriors who apparently frequented the jousting field, yet here he was, fighting some sort of monster! And he distinctly remembered being chopped in half, but now he was alive again? What was this madness?!
Blindly following the orders of the guy with enough wits about him to yell, Derpicus ran forward, sword bared.
"Yaaaargh!?" He yelled, as he swung his sword at the big, black man's left arm.

The pathetic little man yelled at the corpses of the warriors, evidently trying to rally the panicked warriors to gain a few meatshields while he fought. No matter, they would all die. Though Horus might have had an interesting plan, it seemed all he was currently doing was charging wildly with nothing but a dagger.
With considerably longer reach than a dagger, the knight brought his weapon to bear before himself, preparing to bash the man upside the head when he charged within reach.
Then, the dark knight was attacked by someone who was kind enough to loudly announce that he was attacking, even as he swung. Hearing his battle question, the dark knight stepped swiftly to the side, back still to Derpicus, allowing his swing to go wild.
Releasing his axe with one hand, he seized Derpicus by the wrist. Violently yanking on his arm, he attempted to drag the man before him, directly into the path of Horus' wild dagger charge.

Nothing was wild, or untamed about Horus' movements. It was unfortunated that the soldier had been caught like he had. It had changed Horus' game plane the second he got into the fight. As he ran forward he ran at the Avarenian soldier. He turned his forward momentum into upward momentum by putting his foot upon the mans belt pushing up his other foot on his shoulder, then with his free hand hand he grabbed the evil knight's helmet, and then stabbed at the openings in the man's helmet with the other.

Derpicus found himself flying through the air before he knew what was happening, straight into that one guy's knife attack. Luckily, the man used him as a stepping stool, and Derpicus coughed moments later as he was smashed face first into the ground, tasting bitter sand and horse piss mix in his mouth.
"Augh!?" He said, his brain still catching up to his body. It took him a second, but he pushed himself up and scurried a good ten feet away before looking back. Man, there was no way he was going to help that guy now. Sand was gross, and it was all up in him.
"Ugh!"
