[continued from here] Xannon glanced at the broken, dirty shacks she passed. Since it was night, it was a bit difficult to see, but it was clear she and her companion entered in the ghetto of the city's housing. Her small dark fingers lifted the peach hood of her cloak over head in an attempt to keep her ears from freezing off. She folded her arms around her middle, keeping them warm. Her dangling sleeves acted like a blanket in some ways. "So where now, Tiy?" she finally pipped up after they reached an intersection.

Tiy sighed lightly, feeling sorry for those that were not able to afford to upkeep their homes. She had a rather nice one, but of course, her magic always seemed to keep the lawn short, the walls clean, the garden pruned, and her home clean. She watched as Xannon folded her arms around her torso and asked where to go. Tiy looked ahead of them and at a larger house down the way with lanterns and blue paint. She pointed her house out and then walked a few meters before opening the gate.
"Oh... I hope you're not afraid of wolves..." Tiy mentioned as she slipped in the gate and called to Jez with a whistle. Her big black wolf, much larger than normal came bounding around the corner, her head coming to Tiy's breast level. Jez's bright yellow eyes stared at Xannon and slit. "Oh shush. She is a guest, Jez. Be nice to Xannon." she smiled up at Xannon. "This is Jez... my loyal companion and trusty guard."

Xannon's guess was right on the money. Tiy lived in a big, well-kept house. Mansion? House. It even had paint on it, which was pretty cool. Weather-enduring paint was really something else.
"Wolves?" echoed Xannon.
Wolves. She'd just heard the word "wolves," right? As in, plural and carnivorous and scary man-eating things?
Surely, Tiy meant magic wolves. The non-man-eating kind. Right? Probably? Hopefully?
Oh my god, thought Xannon a moment later as her eyes grew into disks.
There was a wolf. Singular. Solid black fur. Yellow eyes. One might not notice it at night if one weren't looking for it. Xannon gulped, her little dark orbs flickering up to Tiy and then back at the wolf.
This wolf was at Tiy's chest level. It occurred to Xannon suddenly that she was more than a foot shorter than Tiy. This big black wolf was taller than she was. Taller than she was. Has that been repeated enough? She felt like a little rabbit on a wooden plain about to get eaten by Triple B--the Big Black Beasty.
"Um," she puttered, closing her twitching lips together again. She leaned back a smidge.
"Loyal companion" and "trusty guard" her small black booty.
That thing was huge.
"W-W-What big teeth you have... doggie."
Xannon should've known there'd be a catch. How did she always get trapped like this?

Tiy watched as Xannon's eyes grew as Jez ran around the corner. She patted Jez's head and then looked over at Xannon as she stuttered a reply. She smiled lightly and shook her head. "No need to worry. Jez is a big softy!" with that she pushed Jez over and began to rub her belly. Tiy smiled and looked up at Xannon, as she stood back up.
"She will ensure that you will be safe when i'm not home or while we sleep... Now... How about we go inside and I show you to your room?" she opened the door and invited Xannon to go in first, and Jez just laid in the grass looking at the gate they had just come through.
(ooc: note... her house is much larger on the inside than the outside due to a spell to make it bigger without having to remodel)

Yeah, yeah... Xannon was not petting that doggie.
With one last wary glance at the wolf, she tip-toed into the house. Shortly afterward, she discovered that this was not just a house--this really was a mansion. But only on the inside.
Well, ooooooooookay, she thought, blinking as she tried to comprehend how something only slightly big on the outside became SUPER HUGE on the inside.
She stepped a few feet forward, ogling the place.
Well, damn. Maybe it was worth the terrifying guard dog after all.

Tiy followed her in, shutting the door behind her and she slipped out of her sandals and set them by the door and hung up her cloak. She rubbed her hands together to warm her fingers and then walked past Xannon, headed for the stairs, chuckling at her oogled look at the large house on the outside. "The house is charmed to be much larger inside. I didn't want to annoy the neighbors with a year or so of construction." she commented, starting up the large staircase, her hand on the rail, and her other hand holding up her skirt.
"You're room will be up here.... first door on the right..." she made it to the top of the stairs and rounded the corner, opening up the room on the right for Xannon to investigate. They had more rooms if that wasn't too her liking. "There's a bedroom and washroom in here.... will it do?"

Construction noises, huh? That was a very delicate way to show off one's skill and magic expertise without doing it for the sake of being pompous. It was called tact, wasn't it?
Xannon copied Tiy and stripped off her boots, setting them beside Tiy's. However, she kept on her cloak--it wasn't as though she had all over her belongings (as sparse as they were) on her person. With an embarrassed glance to her few muddy shoe prints, she quickly followed the extravagant house-owner up the steps.
First door on the right, first door on the right....
For crying out loud, Xannon had her own bedroom and washroom! If Tiy thought Xannon would be running around to some other house so quickly, then she had another thing coming.
Now all that was needed was for this white witch to remove her disguise and turn into a child-eating fiend in this candy house.
"Yes!" replied Xannon enthusiastically. "It's perfect! How could it not be? Oh, thank you so very very very much for inviting me into your home, Tiy!"

Tiy glanced over her shoulder as Xannon followed her up the stairs. Curious how this little woman held herself so well.... she was sure that there had been times where her size probably got her into a lot of problems... But most of her hoped not. She smiled lightly to her as she walked into the room and thanked her ecstatically. Tiy laughed lightly and the nodded to her.
"You're very very welcome," she retorted. "Feel free to come and go as you see fit. And you are more than welcome to join me for tea and breakfast in the morning if you'd like... Have a good night," she smiled. With that she shut the door lightly behind her, leaving Xannon to wash and rest or whatever she wanted to do.

And with that, the door shut.
"Good night," replied Xannon softly to the door. That lady was really trusting, wasn't she? She didn't, however, even offer a tour of her not-so-humble abode.
Xannon raised an eyebrow and scratched her head.
It wasn't as though she cared or anything. She took in the room for one last time before leaving the pretty mansion to collect her belongings.
