Personality: Rather curt and rude at times, he is generally willing to do pretty much anything it takes to get the job done. Though he ultimately has the betterment of Avaren as his goal, he is willing to do almost anything it takes to achieve this goal.
History: born and raised in Aesir, he refused to take part on the front lines of the war with Avaren. His focus in magic was primarily dealing with scrying and divinations. Thus, his role was primarily one of information gathering and not combat. During the war, he instead focused on the evacuation effort of those noncombatants remaining in the city. After the fall, he acted for a time as the leader of the temporary refugee camp created in the time between the fall and the unification of the kingdoms. Since then, he has been a powerful player in local politics. When the borders came under threat, it was Azrael who developed and oversaw the creation of the border defenses. As such, he was personally put in charge of monitoring the borders, now as a member of the ruling council.
