Overview
There are two key categories when it comes to positions on Avaren. These two categories are member group and class. Member groups are very general categories that give an overall feel for the characters general affiliation or purpose. There are only a few member groups to choose from. The second part of your position, your class, is a lot more varied. In this, you choose a more narrow position from the trees provided below and follow along the tree to become more powerful.

Class system
The class system here is not terrible complex. You choose one path from the beginning; from any of the three primary trees provided. When you have chosen the tree that best fits your character, you can become the level one class for that tree. As you post, you accumulate skill points, which may be used to advance along the various paths in that tree. At any point, you are allowed to multiclass into a different class tree, provided you have the skill points. To use skill points to ascend the class tree, simply message an admin and ask for them to advance you.

Overall, the max level you can attain along any given path is level five. To buy a class of a higher level, you need a certain number of skill points. Below are the number of skill points required to advance into each new level of a class:

Level1: 0 skill points
Level2: 25 skill points
Level3: 50 skill points
Level4: 75 skill points
Level5: 100 skill points


Returning members:
If you are bringing a character over from another site of mine, that character can gain a bonus to skill points and gold right off the bat (Adunasir, other Avaren sites, etc). Simply provide me a link to that character's profile from that site(s) they have also been on.

For every site they have been a part of, they will receive a bonus 25 skill points and 500 gold.

There are three main member groups that you may choose from when starting off on Avaren and two reserved member groups. The member groups you may choose from are "Champion of Avaren", "Adventurer", and "Villain". The two others, which are not requestable are "Outlander" and "Staff".

Champion: This group comprises those member of either Avaren or Aesir who are generally ready and willing to accept the united kingdoms as their new home.

Adventurer: These are those who, while they have no powerfully driving grudge against Avaren, have more concern for their own goals and general well-being than some abstract concept like patriotism or religion.

Villain: Just as there are heroes who seek to do good and help others, there are those who seek to do evil and bring harm to those around them. Whether overtly tyrannical or more secretive and subversive, these people are almost always at odds with the established order.





Ruling Council: In character, these are those people who run the city. These are the people with some of the most power on the site, who are there to help you should the need arise. Talk to them if you have a problem, ask them questions if you are confused. Once again, they are here to help.

Outlander: The closest example to use to describe what these are is to call them NPCs. They are basically armies, groups or organizations created generally to cause trouble, maintain order and often to inspire plots. Sometimes there can be rewards for defeating them but often they are simply there for the purpose of making stirring things up a bit. Additionally, Outlanders have the ability to "sweep" people from threads. This is their way of removing people from threads by some way, be it knocking them unconscious or removing them entirely from the area by other means. This is their right and power to try and control god-modding if it gets too out of hand. Still, this is generally only meant as a last ditch effort if an individual is making the RP-ing experience less enjoyable for others. Of course, if you think you have been treated unfairly for any reason, please talk to a staff member about it.
